District 833 Health & Wellness Night - Kat Perkins
All middle school and high school students and the community are invited to this coffee-house style evening of music and programming that promotes student wellness and builds resilient kids and communities.
Keynote: Kat Perkins, semi-finalist on NBC’s the Voice:
"What would you do if you weren’t afraid?"
Her inspirational message of showing up, being yourself and overcoming fear and insecurities will touch hearts and empower all age groups. Middle School and High School students will help close the evening with a vocal performance with Kat.
Earlier in the evening, community mental health resource providers will be on hand. Adults can learn more about stress and anxiety and get tips and tools for themselves or the teens in their lives in the breakout sessions. Students can attend a teens-only session to help them better manage stress and anxiety from living in their pressure-filled world.
