  • Youth Session Option 1 - Taking Care of Yourself Inside and Out – Nourishing Mind, Body and Heart

For many of us, the typical school day is filled with complex demands, competing priorities, high expectations and the need to take care of a lot of details. We keep ourselves so busy that eventually we get depleted. Remember your self-care is the most important care. When self-care is neglected the body moves into the stress response. In this session, we will learn some quick tips to assist us when we feel stressed out, take time for self-care and allow ourselves to just “be.”

Chrissy Mignogna is a Certified Yoga Calm Trainer and instructor. She trains teachers to use the Yoga Calm and Move Mindfully curriculums in their classrooms. She also teaches breathing, mindfulness and movement in adolescent mental health units at United Hospital among others.
